African Board of Personnel Practitioners
The standards of
people management form the core of the SABPP's work. The
Board was established by the IPM and started evaluating and
registering individuals in the HR field in 1983. Some 32
tertiary institutions are evaluated and accredited on a
three-year cycle by the Training Committee of the Board.
This includes most major universities, all the technikons as
well as the IPM. More recently the Board has applied for the
ETQA status with SAQA to continue its quality assurance
function under new legislation.
