Under Section 12(3)(a) of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 2001 (Act No. 63 of 2001) as amended, I,MEMBATHISI MPHUMZI SHEPHERD MDLADLANA, Minister of Labour, hereby amend the rate of earnings referred to in Government Notice No. 27946 on 2 September 2005, 

• from one hundred and thirty one thousand five hundred and ninety two rand (R139 592.00) per annum 
• to one hundred and thirty nine thousand nine hundred and forty four rand per annum (R139 944.00) or
• eleven thousand six hundred and sixty two rand per month (R11 662.00) , or
• two thousand six hundred and ninety one rand and twenty three cents per week (R2 699.00)

with effect from 1 July 2006.
