Job Description

 

 

The position reports to the Executive Head of Human Resources and will be a level 4 appointment.

 

The L and D manager will take custodianship of the design, delivery and implementation of all company learning and development interventions. This will include evaluating the effectives and L and D interventions, managing grant requirements, and ensuring compliance with all Skills Development Act requirements.

 

Major responsibilities

 

o       Constantly monitor and evaluate training and development needs through job analysis, performance appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers to identify training solutions.

o       Prioritize L and D development activity to meet both individual employee’s needs and the requirements of the business.

o       Monitor post training performance improvement to measure ROI for training investment parties

o       Manage the integrity of, and reporting on the company’s training data ensuring that all corporate and statutory training requirements are met.

o       Represent the company on the Standards Generating Body to ensure that the company’s interests are met

o       Manage the training and development budget

o       Work collaboratively with the Change and Organisational Development Manager to ensure seamless integration of OD and HRD activities for clients of these services

o       Effectively work within a collaborative HR team environment

 

The L and D Manager will be responsible for approximately 800 staff.
