Discussion It is often difficult to understand the relative value of educational opportunities in South Africa given the highly complex nature of the skills development legislation. This Fact Sheet is designed to set out in a clear way a hierarchy of qualifications and short courses offered by various institutions within the HR field. The general principles outlined in this Fact Sheet can also be applied to the recognition of qualifications in any other field, so HR professionals can use this in evaluating qualifications of applicants for positions in any field.
